Doug McClure played in The Virginian, for sure. I don't recall him in Rawhide, though he may have been. As for Gunsmoke, are you talking of Dennis Weaver's character? He's the only one I can recall with a limp. His characters name was "Chester." On the radio, Chester was played by a man named Parley Baer. Then, there was Milburn Stone as Doc Adams (Howard McNear from the radio), Amanda Blake (Georgia Ellis on the radio) as Miss Kitty, James Arness played Marshall Dillon on the television show --William Conrad played the Marshall on the radio. After all the days work was done, we would gather around the radio/tv for a bit of entertainment. Usually, Gunsmoke was the program of choice. Becky

    3. Marged, I did buy Hannibal, and thought it was better than silence of the lambs which is something. Brilliant book, has you on the edge of your seat with every page. It puts you off pigs for life though. Pigs do eat meat, as they are just thrown all the slops in a lot of places, there must be some meat scraps in it. I thought we weren't supposed to eat hoofed animals or something according to the bible. Best wishes angela Cyprus
