Hi Brian, Buffalo nearly became extinct before they finally decided to stop the killing of them. Now there are many large herds in many places across the west and some places in the mid-west. There are not nearly the large herds as there were so many years ago. They are a hardy beast ! The Buffalo is on the Wyoming state flag. And what about the not celebrating of Christmas in some schools for fear of 'upsetting' other religions. We must be the daftest people in the world for allowing that to happen. I think that is absolutely appalling. Maggie
