    1. [NTH-ENG] THE WORRY IT'S CAUSED
    2. Marged
    3. I must say to everyone, that there has been no virus on the Northern List but also that I personally have not had nor passed on a virus. I was asking for help because I felt I couldn't write to anyone once someone on another list said, wrongly that he had received a virus from me. He later withdrew the statement (I wouldn't call it an apology, but who cares) so I can write with a clear conscience now. Dave kindly let me send him an e-mail to make sure. 3. No - I have to admit that I accidentally re-sent Tweetie to people on the wrong list after I received it from Jean because he was so cute! Tweetie is innocent - let him out! 3. How daft can they get, btinternet.com not being suitable for their own service. No wonder my server will have nothing to do with them. We just have a BT service feature that allows unlimited voice calls after 6 pm and all weekend for a fixed monthly sum. I love my server, never a bit of trouble. 1. [NTH-ENG] BT CHARGES
    2. Marged
    3. For the interest (I hope) of Brian and anyone else who has BT for an ISP. Because I use Surftime, I don't get charged for any dial-ups so long as I make them during the appointed hours. If I dial up any other time, it costs me 5p per dial-up then 2p per minute (I think it's 2p - hope it's only 1p). If I dial up outside Surftime hours, I have to be careful to change the setting on the dial-up box from Surftime to Pay, otherwise I get charged 5p for nothing. I discovered this when we got our last phone bill, as I had made a lot of mistakes and paid 5p per time. Very often in the morning, if I don't get up to let the mail download before 8am, I dial up on PAY. This will allow me to get my Marged mail and then change identities to my Marj mail, which it allows in, but it will not allow me to send any mail unless I re-dial. There is obviously some sharp practice here somewhere, especially since there is always SOMETHING in the morning mail that I want to reply to, to I do re-dial. BT have now offered yet another service which is All Day surfing which they say is going to cost £14.95 per month, but the last time they said this, I found I would have had to pay an extra £20 per month for an acceptable ISP, as mine (BT) did not support the new service. I have my name down to receive further details of this service, and will have to work out the new costs. MARGED --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. 3. You are quite welcome, Maggie, Your daughter sounds like my daughter; I need two years vacation after being around her for a bit of time. 2. Thanks Glenda, It was the 21st but what with my daughter here, shopping, taking Grandson to Pokemon movie, Christingle service, Christmas day with my youngest son and his family plus all of us, family here Saturday night for a meal and yesterday (Boxing Day) it seems years ago. My daughter has gone on to visit friends for a few days so I am managing to get my breath back. It's like a whirlwind when she is home...she packs more into one day than I do in a week!!!! Or am I just getting old? Maggie

    1. Re: [NTH-ENG] Re: Belated birthday wishes
    2. Hi Angela, Thank you for my birthday wishes. I hope your daughter had as good a birthday as I did. I seem to remember that her godfather also had a birthday. All the best people are born in December :) I think both my little grandsons are into Pokemon. My eldest son will be coming with his family on Friday as Bobby, his wife, works in an old people home and that is their first chance as she was working over Christmas. Being in a country area the skooter craze isn't here yet. My grandson had an old fashioned one when he was smaller but I don't think the fancy ones would be any good around here. The roads are tarmac and stones with no pavement so he would probably get run over. Maggie
