Nite Marged, have a good new year and a safe journey. Maggie
I thought it was OK but as I had visitors it was a bit difficult to watch properly. I did video it to watch later but at the moment I am not sure exactly where it is....lol She seems to have lost her Welsh accent which is a shame. Maggie
'have to mull it over until I come up with what I want' That is my method for most things. When I have solved the problems then I am free to go ahead and just do what ever it is. I must tell you that I am feeling rather elated. And why is Jim feeling rather elated you must all be saying. Well, some of you may know that I am in the process of transcribing the fiche of the 1891 Chorlton & Ardwick Census and just before Christmas I finished the first fiche of RG12/3179 that is 100 pp 30 entries per page. Which left 5 more fiche and horrors!!! I couldn't find them. What with Christmas etc. I scarce had time to deal with my correspondence never mind instigate a search. All through this joyous time there was this little niggle at the back of my mind trying to spoil things. Ten minutes ago whilst preparing to shut up shop I spied a brown envelope in the crack between my computer desk and the wall, I'm seriously spatially challenged in this respect. After raiding the kitchen drawer for a long handled fork I managed to extract the said envelope and with tears in my eyes [of joy] I saw my missing fiche. My emotion was caused actually by the fact that they cost me £16.90 and I would have hated to have had to buy them again. Jim Sharpe Manchester UK --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Didn't have any in. Thought about a spoonful of Codeine linctus, or a little grating of one of my Temazepam tablets. When the bang on the head didn't really work, I was getting a bit desperate. Hi Marged Very nice stories of Lucy - I wouldn't have the patience I'm sure. Are you going to Scotland where? I do miss the place after our Summer adventure - all too short! I watched Wizard of Oz last week it is on here quite frequently, I missed the bit you referred to though - I often quote Dorothy when I think that I left England when happiness can be found 'in your own backyard'. And I've been to Kansas!! (briefly) Mike in Saudi
But Jean - what a lovely present your daughters gave you! I love my dishwasher. Bought it with some money my mum left me five years ago. Wouldn't be without it. However, I know what you mean about the problems in getting things fixed. MARGED --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Trouble is.....if you do this, the same message is waiting [LURKING] in the wings until you next try to download. The only good point is that you can wait for freetime, unless you are with BT! Well mine was made by a volunteer locally. It is machine pieced. To speed it up it was tied rather than quilted. Still the colours and design are lovely. It is made out of cotton fine wale corduroy and cotton flannel on top with a fine cotton backing. The materials are very good quality. we are photographing it so I may send a photo someday. The Charlotte Church special was not on here. My mother-in-law saw a special of hers in Toronto last month. We gave m-in-l two Charlotte Church tapes for Christmas. I got a Bryn Terfel CD but have mislaid it so have yet to hear it. Must look down beside the computer. 'Sometimes I think "Why didn't I just give them the money and stay home".' But then nothing would happen , Marged. I like making things I feel are important happen. My daughters will buy my tickets but if they win that quilt is mine. I only hope our raffle is that successful. That is an excellent result. Jean in Nova Scotia
No, I don't. Most everything I make it is for gifts and I forget to get pictures :( I had been working on a wall hanging but it has been layed aside now for several months; it must be finished. I will try to re- member to take a picture of it. I don't have a scanner at present but hope to some day. So snail mail would be the only way of letting you see anything at present.
