Gosh I've never heard that before! It always makes me laugh when someone on the inside wins, and I say "If you don't want them to win, don't sell them the tickets", but I never thought anyone would really do that! They have just raised £4,000 with a raffle for a quilt in our local hospice. I would have loved to have won that. You are right - you need an income to support any volunteer work you do. Hi Marged, Must admit the best bit is not having to wait to see the results ! Took some photos of some remote controls the other day - wasn't happy with them so deleted the pics and re-did them. Then I discovered that the light in my office was too poor for the autofocus to work properly ( I was using the flash ). When I was working for a living ... used to use film , take them to the 1/2 hour photo place, only to find they weren't any good , by which time you were £10 worse off !
