    3. Did your search look for chapels which no longer exist Richard? Did the NRO result mean that they were the only three chapels in the area at the time or that they are the only ones with records? The Genuki site http://www.origins.org.uk/genuki/NFK/norfolk/gaz-and-dir/parishes/ misses two chapels that I know of -Dilham and Honing-although they are too late for your purposes. Just wondering if there were earlier buildings that are long gone and records lost so that they only appear in village records as archaeology. Or if the baptism might have fallen at a time when meetings were being held in houses before chapels were built and where the records may have been misplaced . Of course not a lot of use to you if there are no baptism records but might explain the missing baptisms.
