Hi another Downham boy please to catch your attention , CWGC says born Stamford, son of Alfred of Bexwell Road, Downham.....aged 40 when he died of wounds in August 1916....so b c 1876 . His will says of High St , Downham , with two local business men as his executors......he was a temp 2nd Lt in the Royal Engineers.... cannot seem to find him in the 1891,1901 or 1911 ... Only sighting now in 1881 census William aged 5 son of Alfred and Lenora. he is a commercial traveller, b Stamford, and Wm has sisters Lenora and Florence, in fact he seems to be a twin with Lenora........ and Alfred as a widower and the two girls go on through the census. but where is William ? life is hard . soften it with a cat \\\=^..^=///
