    3. Hi Nivard The military information came from Forces War Records which I understand is taken from original records and is often more detailed than CWGC. I suggested the Wandsworth registration only because of the coincidence of names, the fact that Vera would then have been 21 and the possibility of someone from Roehampton marrying in Wandsworth. Plus Vera being a Mackum and being back in Sunderland when widowed. 3. Thanks Bob I would like to see the information Forces comes up with but don't think they have anything original, all I have found on there (without subscribing) appears to be from soldiers died or the CWGC etc I found them a little misleading, hence wanted to know the source I think you suggested Tyneside before which would have made sense given her address in Sunderland But the marriage was a good find on your part, no wonder I couldn't see it with the errors in the transcriptions Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 04/03/2014 12:45, Bob Rust wrote: > Hi Nivard > > The military information came from Forces War Records which I understand is > taken from original records and is often more detailed than CWGC. > > I suggested the Wandsworth registration only because of the coincidence of > names, the fact that Vera would then have been 21 and the possibility of > someone from Roehampton marrying in Wandsworth.
