    3. Thanks to everyone who has replied regarding the lost Albert G Brackenbury. The mystery still deepens! The photo on Ancestry of a Fred Brackenbury who had a brother Albert does not match the time period. Thanks Sheila.

    3. Dear Sheila, I didn't receive a reply to my earlier email so I went ahead and asked questions for you on our local WAGSnet. I had never heard of Boilup but there many 'ups' down South f fPerth. Here is what a very helpful person found: Hi there Ann, I think I have found your Albert Brackenbury and Mavis Knopka. There was a marriage in 1937, marriage place-Western Australia reg place-- Perth, Western Australia. Mavis' reg# 368, Albert's reg# 3?? With the marriage place being West Aust, could be they married in the country and it was registered in the city. I think the towns you are looking for are Boyanup and Balingup which are both located on the South West Highway, south east of Bunbury. On the electoral rolls of 1954/ 1958, Albert and Mavis lived in Kojonup, he worked as a farm hand. I found a death registered for Albert in 1961, aged 66yrs. Born abt 1895. reg place Katanning, reg # 50. His parents were Frederick and Mary. Looking at Ozburials, I found they were both buried in Kojonup, Albert died 9 Sept 1961, Mavis, 24 Sept 1987, aged73yrs. Hope this has been of some help. Kind regards, Jule Edenburg #13018 Regards Ann Spiro Rep-australia-nt-wa@one-name.org Guild member#5101 WAGS member#1288 ONS: Baskett and Briggs DNA Project: Baskett.
