Charles Dean Prangley was born in July 1897 ( and here is the first of the challenges, there are two CDPs one born July in Bebington , Cheshire , the other born in 1897 at Marylebone . ) His father was Charles Wilton Prangley who was ordained a deacon in 1888 by the Bishop of Norwich and licenced as curate of Holbrook in Suffolk. In 1890 the Rev Prangley married Elizabeth Richardson at Hastings reg dist . In 1891 the couple are living in Holbrook , Suffolk without children. In 1899 an Elizabeth Prangley`s death aged 39 is registered in the Norwich dist. In 1901 the Rev Prangley is a widower living with his widowed mother Ruth in Potter Heigham , he is clergyman and says he is born Salisbury Wilts, his mother is b London . In 1902 the Rev Prangley married Elizabeth Reid from Govan in Yarmouth . In the 1911 census they are at Potter Heigham and have two small children . This time the Rev Prangley says he was born in Milford Wilts . So where is Charles Dean Prangley b 1897 I think in Marylebone , he is in Marlborough College aged 14 in the 1911 and says he was born in Harley St . His earlier education , according to his obituary was at South Lodge Lowestoft . But where is he in the 1901 and were there any other children of the Rev Charles and his first wife Elizabeth between 1890 and 1899 ? I can`t find the Rev Charles in Crockfords nor the Alumni so can`t work out where he might have been , but feel he would have been somewhere in Norfolk probably or Suffolk . Hi Elizabeth: There is only one Charles Dean PRANGLEY. He was born in Marylebone on 16 Mar 1897 and was baptized in Bebington, Cheshire on 25 Jul 1897 son of Charles PRANGLEY, clerk in holy orders and Elizabeth. He died in 1916 during WWI while serving with the Lincolnshire Regiment. Like you I can't find him in 1901. His father died on 26 Oct 1928 in Norfolk.
