Hi , the death cert arrived this morning and is brief and pretty sad. It is my old boy and he died at Greenwich Infirmary aka 48 Vanbrugh Hill, Lewisham , in Dec 1920 , of chronic pancreatitis , which the NHS site says is caused by long term alcohol misuse . He is still calling himself of 9 Osborne place, surveyor , and I presume would have been buried in the nearest pauper grave . That is the next line of research .
