Have today been working on the JARROD family of West Dereham, NFK. Specifically the offspring of Henry and Mary m. 1845. Their daughter Jessie was my gt grandmother and lived until the grand age of 96. I've been looking at her sisters today and have discovered another war death: Isaac son of James Watts and Frances WINNER (nee Jarrod) of Methwold, was killed in action in Flanders on 9th Apr 1917 and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial. An appropriate poignancy that I should learn about him today. As always on this day, I remember my two half great uncles, brothers Bertie and Herbert BRUCE. regards Sheila
