I would like to say a huge thanks to every single person who has contributed to the project (and are continuing to help with 1871 and 1891). Please remember that spelling was not standard in 1861 so you may need to be a little imaginative with some of your searches. We have to provide a transcript of what the enumerator wrote not what we think he meant. If you find any transcription errors please let me know as it is quite easy to update the files on our database.
