    1. [NFK] Lakenham part of Norwich?

    3. Thank you to everyone who replied to my question re Lakenham being part of Norwich. The origins of this man have raised questions in my mind for years. He was a resident of Heigham in 1851, birthplace given as Norwich but at the time of his marriage 1802 in Hales he was of Bury St. Edmunds. Because he was a cabinetmaker, I laid that off to having apprenticed there. I am becoming more comfortable with the Lakenham baptism being him. Bonnie

    3. Bonnie, Your reference to cabinetmaker reminded me that I posted details to the list of a publication concerning Norfolk cabinetmakers. Checking the archibves I found this was in June 2007 : "2. [NFK] Norfolk Furniture/Cabinet Makers [0.797346] Anyone with a cabinet makers/furniture makers in their tree may find this publication of interest:- "Norfolk Furniture Makers 1700-1840" by John Stabler 2006 ISBN 0953-0800. Catalogues when and where individuals were in business, to whom apprenticed, plus names and dates of those apprenticed to them. Stan L. Langley, West Norfolk, U.K." The Norfolk Library Service has a copy - it might be worthwhile asking 'em to check if there is any reference to your man. Stan L. Langley - West Norfolk U.K. Principal Interests; JICKLING; LANGLEY; RICHMOND; WAD(DE)LOW; W(H)ILLOCK. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bonnie Ostler" <bjrgen@gmail.com> To: <norfolk@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 23, 2011 12:12 PM Subject: [NFK] Lakenham part of Norwich? > Thank you to everyone who replied to my question re Lakenham being part of > Norwich.
