Thank you everyone for the correct name. No wonder I couldn't find it with putting the H in my search. I will check out all the excellent links and thanks for sending them. It is hard to imagine where places are when you are not familiar with a place. Samuel Bailey was a signalman working for the Midland and Great Northern Railway and was living in and working from a Railway supplied house at Front Road, Wisbech St. Mary. Cambs. He later moved to Walpole St. Andrew Norfolk. I doubt that this house will still be there, but if it was, it would be great to see what it was like. Nan, Idle curiosity prompted me to do a little digging. Google Map shows Front Road as being in Murrow - a little to the east of Wisbech St. Mary - you can view the entire road by using the Street facility. The 1901 census shows Samuel is resident at Sunnyside No. 2, Kiln House Lane, W.S.M. and in 1911 at Chestnut House, W.S.M. These properties may well still exist. Would suggest you check out this website: > http://www.wisbechstmary.org.uk/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1< which has a couple of photographs showing the Wisbech St. Mary Railway Station. There is history page that could be of interest and a contact link should you wish to pose a question or two. There is a photograph of the site of Murrow Station on this link: > http://myrailwaystation.com/FORMER%20LOCATIONS/pages/MURROW%20%20STATION%20%20%20Ex%20G_%20N_%20&%20G_%20E_%20Jt%20%20%20and%20%20M_%20&%20G_%20N_%20%201973_%20Photo%20by%20Peter%20Howie%20_jpg.htm < Stan L. Correction. My previous email should have read " Murrow - a little to the west of Wisbech St. Mary." Stan L.
