Thanks Alan. I do have most of this information. What I would really like to know is if I have any living Overed relatives. When she passed away in 1959 James second wife May was living in Erpington, and the informant on her death certificate was her nephew H. Williamson. James and May had no children, and that is where the trail has gone cold. I have been hacking away at this puzzle for about 5 years now with little to go on as my mother hardly ever spoke of her family, so everything I have learned so far has been a revelation. As Overed appears to be a relatively (no pun intended) uncommon surname I was hoping someone on this list might be able to point me in the right direction.
