As a coincidence , actor Timothy Spall ( Peter Pettigrew in Harry Potter Movies for those who do not know him from other UK work) was featured in the EDP this week as he was in these parts as he travels around the coast in his barge making a TV programme. He was reported as saying his family came from the region . A quick skim at ancestry seems to indicate he is descended from Spalls from South Norfolk/ North Suffolk borders in the late 1800s/ early 1900s. Article may still be on EDP24 online pages.
