Hi Rosie I haven' found a connection between the family headed by John Gager [married Elizabeth Garnet 1762] at Downham Market and Richard at King Lynn. They married and had families around the same time so maybe Brothers. I don't know the origins of the name. I don't know when and where Richard was born or his occupation. But the name Gager does appear in London records which made me wonder if he came from there to King Lynn. Karen
