    3. I will have a look for him when I get time- if Marilyn keeps reminding me off list ! - as I know that there are burials from the Naval Hospital in the cemetery at Caister on Sea. A long time since I have walked round (it was a favourite conker gathering place for the kids years ago) but if I remember correctly there are what are probably War Grave Commission cared for graves as well as others. Certainly a number of sailors although I dont recall the dates of the stones exactly. There has been some toppling /breakage and removal of stones over the last couple of decades. If anyone else is interested the cemetery is not the parish graveyard but what I assume to be the earliest part of a municipal burial ground for Yarmouth, which is still in use. It is on Ormesby Road, Caister on Sea and at the junction with Braddock Road. I think this may have been the cemetery which came into use when the Nelson Road/Kitchener Road Cemetery in Yarmouth was full. It might be worth checking that one too for Naval Hospital burials. The Naval Hospital has been converted to dwellings in recent years-I do not know about any burials on site, but I think at 1918 he is likely to be offsite, because of the dates I have seen on the headstones in Caister.
