wrong certificate but none-the-less interesting and sad. I decided to send for what I thought must be the death of my 3 x g grandmother in Loddon 1846. It seemed the only one possible as she was last seen alive on the 1841 census at Hales by the green, a farmer's widow aged 50 with her sister's family the SHARDALOWs. The certificate arrived today and it is for a 29yr old woman who died at Thurton, married to Charles BLAKE a labourer. The Coroner informed that she died from diarrhoea and natural causes and Not from an act of violence! I have mixed feelings. I can only think that my Elizabeth left the area or maybe was not registered or even possibly emigrated, although her only surviving child at that time was still serving time in a penal colony in Van Diemans land or Norfolk Island. But he was pardoned in 1849! Does anyone know of a suitable place to put wrong certificates or perhaps this is the right one for someone else?
