Hi All: Charlotte PRIEST was born in Gimingham around 1806 and baptised there on 11 May 1806, to Elizabeth PRIEST. No father is mentioned in the baptism record. Charlotte had at least 5 children, William Wells PRIEST (Apr 1828), Mary Ann DUNCAN (1830-1897), Emma Duncan (1834), Ezra DUNCAN (1834-1902), Charlotte Duncan (1837). She married James DUNCAN in Trunch in 1829. Elizabeth and her daughter Charlotte appear in the 1841 and 1851 censuses in Trunch, and Elizabeth appears to have been born in Gimingham around 1770. I have hit a brick wall over Elizabeth. Was her maiden name PRIEST, and she never married? Was she a widow at the time of Charlotte's birth? And where/when was she born and to whom? The second wall is James DUNCAN - he presumably died before the 1841 census. Where/when was he born, and to whom? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
