Hi Listers, I am still chasing information on my Allen family brick wall, and would like to find out more information about the children of William Allen and Phoebe Firman who married in 1809 at Ryston cum Roxham Norfolk. I have found that they had a son named John born 1811, who went to Australia in 1854, but would like to know whether they had any other children. The Archdeacon's transcripts only go to 1812, and I think I need access to later records. Their son John was baptised in the Denver Parish Church, which was Phoebe's Parish prior to her marriage. I also note that an 1845 directory on Roxham indicates that there was a moat there which had adjoined a "Walpole House", referred to as a mansion. Does anyone know any history of the people who owned and resided in this property? Kind regards, Warren Diggins, Australia
