    1. [NFK] DOUGHTY CHILDREN FOR LISA
    2. Janice Doughty
    3. Hi Lisa, Here are the children of Robert Nicholas and Elizabeth Doughty (nee Burcham) 1) William Nicholas Doughty - a shoemaker never married born 1849 at Ryburng Norfold, died March Qtr 1913 aged 63 Reg. in Portsmouth. 2) John Doughty 1854 Tottenham. Middlesex. Joined the Navy, was stationed in Portsmouth. Died 1921 Portsmouth. 3) Robert John Doughty born 1851 - Norfolk, died NSW Australia in 1929 4) James Doughty born 1857 Plumstead Kent died 1925, NSW, Australia 5) George Frederick Doughty born 1859 Plumstead, Kent. Died 1921 Reg in Portsmouth. 6) Elizabeth Ann Doughty born 1861 Plumstead, Kent.(married Frederi Nicholas) died Gosport 1947 aged 85. 7) Henry (Harry) Doughty born 1864 Farlington, Hampshire, died died 1955 in Sydney, Australia. 8) Arthur Doughty born 1867 Purbrook, Hampshire, died Nov 1939 in Sydney, Australia. 9) Charles Doughty born 1869 Portsea died of typhoid fever and heat eshaustion June 1895, Goolgardie, Wester Australia. 10) Alfred Doughty born 1872 in Portsea, Hampshire. Died 1942 in 1942 in Portsmouth aged 70. Where Alfred was after the 1881 Census, at the age of 9 with his family at The George Public House in Portsea, until his death in 1942 is another mystery. If we are to believe a daughter of Arthur Doughty's, she was told by her father that there were eleven sons and one daughter and that three boys, her father told her had left for Canada before he ever knew them. A mystery that has not been solved. Happy New Year Everyone. We Down Under are on the count down to 2012 and we will be there before our friends in the Northern Hemisphere. There promises to be a great fireworks display on Sydney Harbour, where we will once again try and blow the Sydney Harbour Bridge to smithereens, each year it gets better. The convicts, our ancestors, if they could come back, would not believe thier eyes. Would be great if we could give you the winning Lotto numbers from the present to the past. Wishful thinking.
