I think Genuki may have a page -I think I have seen one-but not quite sure what to google plus Genuki to find it again. Rosie I've done a bit of Googling and have not, as yet, found anything re country wide movements at the Parish level, Genuki appears to say that its counties list refer to the pre 1974 arrangements and there are a few web sites which refer to specific counties. As well Family Search gives a breakdown of the post and pre 1974 Scottish setup but only in terms of what is now named what! What, if any, County(ad hoc?) realignments' eg those that brought Gorleston and Cobholm into Gt Yarmouth took place prior to 1974? As Julie suggested , even well before 1974, some parish records may have been held at Record's Offices out side of their counties. I note Newmarket remains in Suffolk although before the expansion of Suffolk territory around the town it self the connection to Suffolk is little more than the width of the road! The burghers there must wield considerable influence in high -places!
