Hi Trish, Thanks for the births information. I was hoping there may have been a son born 1813 - my Benjamin, and a James born c.1817 / 1818. The link you have is to a different Walpole House, as the 1845 note I mentioned, seemed to indicate that the mansion had been demolished, and only the moat remained. The Roxham area I am interested in is near Hilgay, Denver & Fordham. The other Wroxham is north east of Norwich. I have also been researching a Mundeford Allen, who's son William Allen, was the Vicar of Narborough (Narburgh) in the early 1800's. I should really try to determine whether the Vicar had any children as well. I note that there is a place named Mundford near Roxham, and I was wondering whether Mundeford Allen could have been named after that Town. Cheers, Warren
