    1. [NFK] Aldeby Parish Register Look-up Please

    3. Hi, I am looking for the marriage of John Last which apparently took place on 30/7/1837 in Aldeby, Norfolk. I have looked in the parish registers on Familysearch, but the marriage section appears to be missing for this year and those either side. I think he married an Ann Boltertude/Bultitude Snowling, but I need to clarify this please. Any help would be much appreciated. Best wishes Rebecca

    3. Apart from the ATs the only other film is of extracts and that contains only selected names with many years missing. The registers are held at Norfolk Record Office 1558-1991. You could try FreeREG - but only the ATs 1725-1812 have been done and it is not sure that anything else exists. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg

    3. Hi, I have a RISING/LAST marriage and the two lived in Aldeby. Benjamin RISING married Mary LAST at St Mary in the Marsh, Norwich 21st Jan 1754. Mary's father was a John LAST. Mary and Benjamin lived in Aldeby until their deaths in 1770 and 1771. I have John LAST's will. In some papers relating to their land in Aldeby it states the following: After reciting that by certain Indres of Lease and Release dated resply 30th and 31st October 1787 and made between John Last of Thorpe next Haddiscoe in Norfolk farmer (surviving exor named in the last will and testament of Benj Rising then late of Aldeby afsd yeoman deced of the one part and said Benj Rising deced (eldest son and heir at law of said last named Ben Rising) of the other part the freehold parts of the .. Lands and heredits therein demised were conveyed unto and to the use of said Ben Rising party to the afsd indre) and of his heirs and assigns for ever. And reciting that by a certain Indre of assignment dated 31st October 1787 and made between said John Last of the 1st part, said Ben Rising deced (father of said Benj Rising party to the afsd Indre) of the 2nd part and John Riseing otherwise Rising of Thorpe in Norfolk yeoman of the 3rd part the two enclosures of land and heredits and ....and The Benjamin and John RISING referred to are Mary's children. She also had a brother named John LAST. I believe the LAST's you mentioned are connected to mine but have really only researched the RISING side.
