    3. Hi Elizabeth, I think Benjamin was born approx 1813, and James born approx 1818. I don't have any parent's names, but Benjamin had sons Benjamin and William, and James had sons George Benjamin and John. I have a partial? military record for a James Allen (who may or may not be the correct fellow), which indicates he was born 1817 - 1819 and indicates Roxham Norfolk, which I have taken to be either Wroxham (NE of Norwich), or Roxham near Ryston. I am attempting to check out births for both areas. It doesn't appear that Benjamin and James belong to the family of William and Sarah. The information on John and his wife agrees with what I have with them coming to Victoria in the mid 1850's, although Elizabeth at Cambridge is a bit of a mystery, as Thomas would be too young to have had children, and Elizabeth still has the Allen surname (aged 10 in 1851). Perhaps I need to do some checking on the family she is living with in Cambridge.

    3. Hi Elizabeth, Thanks for your efforts. I have found the information on the James Allen bapt Wroxham to Christmas and Sarah. They had a son George Luke Allen 1811, and other children at Tunsted and Sprowston, but I couldn't connect that family in. I actually couldn't find any info. on that family after about 1822, they don't seem to appear in the 1841 census. The James bapt 1818 to William and Hannah is also of interest. I shall have a look at a map to see where Marham is, and try to ind their marriage, and other children. kind regards, Warren -----Original Message----- From: elizabeth howard <elizgh@btinternet.com> To: norfolk <norfolk@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sat, 31 Dec 2011 21:43 Subject: [NFK] William Allen and Phoebe Firman Hi again , in Freereg for James Allen bapt c 1818 , there s a bapt at Wroxham , St Mary , 1819, of James son of Christmas and Sarah llen , father`s occupation butcher .
