Hi Meg, The records for Blicking have been transcribed and are on FreeREG - http://freereg.rootsweb.com/cgi/Search.pl They show that Jonathan and Mary DANIEL had 5 children baptised in Blicking - 1703 - Mary 1706/07 - Robert 1709/10 - John 1711 - Alice 1715/16 - Ann There are no marriages for any of these in Blicking. If you track Robert and John, you may find they married elsewhere, and returned to Blicking - and one of them may be the father of your Jonathan. That would be the only way there could be a connection between the earlier and later DANIEL families in Blicking. It doesn't look as though either sons, John and Robert, were married or buried in Blicking. The only spouse isn't named - 1745, "the Widow Daniel" - who could also be the mother of Jonathan rather than wife of a son. Your Jonathan is shown as John DANIEL in all the baptisms of his children in Blicking, so he may be the son of John, and changed his name to Jonathan at a later date? On FreeREG there are numerous baptisms for John DANIEL with father John DANIEL in the correct time period, nothing obvious with father Robert DANIEL; there are probably a lot more on the IGI. It may just be a coincidence that there are two DANIEL families in Blicking and they have no connection at all.
