Hello everyone, I'm wondering if there was any way I could find out if my ancestor was in some kind of business trouble or fraud situation....did local newspapers report on that kind of thing? I'm just curious as he travelled all the way from Heigham Norfolk to Devon sometime between 1881 and 1891 and changed his first name. It also seems business wasn't doing so well as he had moved his business from more of a high end area to a poorer area of town prior to all of this. I'm just wondering if perhaps something went wrong and he did a runner! Thanks, Tam : )
