    3. Your wisdom please on this . Last time I looked the PRs for Gayton Grimston and Gayton Thorpe were not available on Family Search but are available at the record office. Does anyone know why these parishes are not on FS or if they are on the site but there is an error in how they are indexed? Second question is, I see the website The Geneaologist has transcripts of parts of some of these records for sale, added July 2015. Does anyone have experience of the quality of their work? TIA Rosie.

    3. Dear Sheila, I didn't receive a reply to my earlier email so I went ahead and asked questions for you on our local WAGSnet. I had never heard of Boilup but there many 'ups' down South f fPerth. Here is what a very helpful person found: Hi there Ann, I think I have found your Albert Brackenbury and Mavis Knopka. There was a marriage in 1937, marriage place-Western Australia reg place-- Perth, Western Australia. Mavis' reg# 368, Albert's reg# 3?? With the marriage place being West Aust, could be they married in the country and it was registered in the city. I think the towns you are looking for are Boyanup and Balingup which are both located on the South West Highway, south east of Bunbury. On the electoral rolls of 1954/ 1958, Albert and Mavis lived in Kojonup, he worked as a farm hand. I found a death registered for Albert in 1961, aged 66yrs. Born abt 1895. reg place Katanning, reg # 50. His parents were Frederick and Mary. Looking at Ozburials, I found they were both buried in Kojonup, Albert died 9 Sept 1961, Mavis, 24 Sept 1987, aged73yrs. Hope this has been of some help. Kind regards, Jule Edenburg #13018 Regards Ann Spiro Rep-australia-nt-wa@one-name.org Guild member#5101 WAGS member#1288 ONS: Baskett and Briggs DNA Project: Baskett.

    3. Just a, maybe interesting, sideline Our next door neighbour when I lived in Belton (then Suffolk) married an Eva Brackenbury, also from Belton. His brother shortly afterwards moved to Australia. There may have been a Brackenbury link connected with this move. Brackenbury whose birth was registered in the Mutford district of Suffolk in 1913 was a son of Frederick William and Blanche Brackenbury. Albert became a seaman and is known to have married a Jane Wylie in 1935 in Liverpool and had a daughter Catherine (Blanche) Brackenbury born in Liverpool in 1936. Albert later disappeared without a trace and none of the family know what happened to him! He had a brother, Frederick, who went to New Zealand and some of the family speculated that Albert may have followed Fred and others suggest he may have been lost at sea.
