Hi gang, THought this might make your day. In todays Time-Standard (Eureka,CA.) comes this fairly large news item,but I'll shorten it considerably for you. SOUTH LAKE TAHOE ~ An undated photo is found of 2 twin ladys, and was the only item the El Dorado CO. Sheriff's office had to work with. It is unknown which sister is which. Authorities found the 73 year old twins dead, together, in their South Lake Tahoe home on 26, February. It took 11 days and the help of dozens of strangers, but the girls have been identifyed as Patricia and Joan Miller. but police had been able to locate any of their family members. Pat and Joan Miller lived for nearly 40 years in the Tahoe area, but often shunned their neighbors. Their shared life ended in a mysterious double death. One sister died in a bedroom , the other in a hallway. Labs will take approx 2 months. Police don't usually release the names of the dead, but no family were immediatly known of, so investigators issued a public plea, asking for any help in locating any relatves to notify about the deaths. The responce was overwhelming. E-Mails and phone calls poured in and with the help of amateur genealogist, who read over media accounts of the sisters deaths, inverstigators tracked down a 1st cousin and 2, 2nd cousins as of last wednesday.. They were tracked down by the "at- home" genealogy sluths, who passed on the information and contact info to the Sheriff's Office. 1 sluth even contacted a cousin to confirm their relatioship before telling the Sheriff. 1 of the cousins lives in San Francisco, the 2 other live in Portland Oregon.
