Dissoultion ~ The Co-Partner ship heretofore existing under the name and firm of WOODWARD & JUMPER, in the retail grocery business, is this day, 11, January 1862 dissolved by mutual consent. Mr. WOODWARD has purchased Mr. JUMPER's interest in the concern and hopes by strict attention to business to merit a continuance of the patronage bestowed on the old firm.signed: E. W. WOODWARD, GEO. HORTON, a 1st class tonsorial artist, arrived from San Francisco this week, and is assisting Mr. JAMES WATERS, at the NEW YORK Barber Shop. 4] Weather ~ Rain to date 0.83 inches, making a total to date of 25.52 inches. 4] Hayfork to Red Bluff Road ~ Last Sunday a meeting was held in Hayfork, to consider thefeasibitlity of a wagon road from Hayfork to Red Bluff. The meetinng was unamous in favor of a road and $1,000 was subscribed and another $1,000 pledged to meet the expense of building the road. Messrs. JOHN CARTER, D.E.V.BARKER, and N. C. WINES were choosen as a committiee to take the matter in charge. Work will begin on the road, as soon a the farmers put in their crops. 4]. Voter Registration~ Wednesday and Thursday were busy days for the county clerk with a bevy of the "fairer" sex, who were anxious to register and exercise their right of suffrage (to Vote).
