Joanne: I was the one doing research in CT for my Flood family in Middlesex County, CT. The Middletown Librarian was where I got the multiple pages on my great grand aunt, Irene (Flood) Arnold and the Middletown Clerks office is where I am sending the $$. Both were gracious, but the first was wonderful. I wish you luck at finding someone like this librarian. My words of advice? When you find someone helpful, a box of chocolates smooths the way for more information....... I don't care whether it is considered a thank you or a bribe. My great grandfather was a stonecutter/marble carver from Chatham - he came to the SF Bay Area in 1853 while his only sister remained in CT. I am waiting for a death certificate..........
