Hi Nancy! Thanks for the info. I'm hoping to get down to Fresno for some other records in the next couple of months. This grandmother of mine is just full of surprises! After her marriage in 1917 to Allen F. Strunk, she married (??) Arthur Owen Roberts and had a son. For some reason she listed her name as "Agnes Gonzales" on the birth record for her son. Hmmm, where in the world did this "Agnes" come from?? She was Cipriana "Zippie" Gonzales, first married to a Castro. After he died she apparently married Mr. Strunk, with a possible divorce. In 1927 she married Vincent Ruiz and stayed married to him until her death in 1961. Surprises...the 1917 marriage AND the name of Agnes. Sure hope I can find the annulment or divorce for the marriage to Strunk! I sent in my check/credit card info and  the documents arrived in less than two weeks. The records are in the Archives of the County  Courts. I think I may have used Vital Check. I still don't know the maiden name of my father's first wife, but do know I don't have a half-sibling from that marriage.
