Tim, I was told (several years back now) that I would have to come in person - they wanted my signature they said - but you might try writing to them. Especially as you have the details they require - especially the name, date and the case number. They charge for copies by the number of pages. I looked through the case I needed and chose the specific pages I wanted them to copy as some pages were duplicates and I didn't need duplicates of a page, especially at $1.00 a page. It MIGHT work. I have the case number, the outcome of the case, and other details, such as the names of all 323 plaintiffs. What I do not have, and need are the names of the 403 defendants, well actually, I have three names. Some courts are user friendly about their archives and some can be darn hostile. Anyhow, I appreciate any assistance as to how to proceed in my quest for this information. >Tim Purdy >P.S. For those interested the case was a civil action seeking nearly four million in damages of the purge of the C..I.O. families from Westwood, Lassen County from a labor dispute with the Red River Lumber Company. Several historians cite this was the largest forced movement of United States citizens until the Japanese internment camps. > > > > > >----------------------------------------- >NORCAL ARCHIVES: >http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ >Enter NORCAL.
