The management invites the public to be present at the opening and take advantage of the bargins. 4] Orginal gone ~ 1 casualty due to the heavy storms, was the caving in of a portion of the firehouse, built in 1874, and a relic of the early Chinatown. This is an adobe building and the extensive damage was caused by the constant dripping from the roof of the Rendezvous Cafe & Bar, next door, which then softened the adobe and cracked out a large piece of the wall. Then the joists fell out and a large portion of the roof caved in. At the time of release, the fish will be about 3 inches long. It is expected that some of these Trout will be large enough to catch by September. 3] Retireing ~ WALLACE M. STRYKER, special agent for the Dept. of Alcholic Beverage Control, retired from state services effective 01, February 1962. Tuesday. 1].Burial ~ 3 blasts of the towns fire horn, announced the procession leading from the Civil Defnse building to the Masonic Cemetery, carrying E. B. 'HAP' MILLER, to his last resting place. The community leader and former fire chief of 40 yrs, passed away on 30, January at his home. A graduate of California State University of CHICO, he moved to Wvvlle in 1933 to manage the Pioneer Garage at the cornor, of Hwy 229 and State Route #3. 'HAP' believed that a community worth living in, is worth working for, and showed it by being involved and often the leader of many organizations. He will be greatly missed by this community. 2] C.H.P. commander ~ Lt. LEO SCHUSSMAN, will be reporting for duty as the new commander of the Trinity River Patrol Area of the C.H.P. upon completion of a training session at the academy. He is expected on or about 01, March. Lt. SCHUSSMAN will be replacing Lt. JAMES BERRY, who is taking a promotion in Southern California.
