I'm faced with having to get some version of FamilyTreeMaker and am wondering what would be my best option. I have been using FTM 2006 and am completely satisfied with it. However it is on my old computer and I need to install the program on the new one. I don't want a bunch of bells and whistles...just the bare bones. I use it is as a database ... a place to collect my research. IF newer versions of the program included better search options within FTM (not online...I can do that myself), then I'd be intrigued. Any suggestions? Joan

The great old FTM 2006 won't work on new computers. That's why I switched to familysearch.org's PAF program. Free, reliable and compatible with my FTM gedcom data. -----Original Message----- From: Terry T Sent: Sunday, February 19, 2012 2:52 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [NORCAL] FTM upgrade or...
