Saturday. 1] Weather ~ Rain for the past week 1.78 inches, making the total for the season 22.30 inches. 2] Snowfall ~ The heaviest snowfall for several years occurred during the past week, and Wvvlle, with her snow-clad roofs, walks, and trees, presents quita wintery appearence. The boys have had great fun in snow-balling, and no dignity, or social or offical position has been any protection against the white "winged" missiles. Because of this snow, the Wvvlle Grammar School was cosed during the past week. 3] School closed ~ The Intermediate School has been closed the last 3 days, on account of the sickness of the teacher. 4] Erickson trial ~ Town is looking like itself again and the large number of persons in attendance of the trials in the Erikson murder case have dispersed to their respective homes. We feel sorry for those witness whose road lies over the South Fork Mtn. 5] Valentine's warning ~ St. Valentine's Day is next Monday, DON"T forget, Boys. 100 yrs. ago. 12, February 1912. Ba;; on 16, February, sponsored by Eltapome Parlor, N.D.G.W. (Native Daughters), appears on page 3. Some include: "Ladies should not forget that the men should be the first to be cared for, to have the best seat, and to have always recieve the most courteous attention. Ladies shuld see that the gentleman is provided with partners and that he thoroughly enjoys himself"...."ALL gentlemen shall behave in a lady-like manner. Gentlemen sall retain their seats, while the ladies stand. Gentlemen shall not propose marriage."
