I had a couple of great aunts who lived in the Marysville area around that time. Both got divorces, one a couple of them. They would pop over to Nevada where it was easy & then come back home. Since your great-grandmother was in Nevada City, I would say that was likely. Regardless, divorce was also easy in CA. You'd have to check the county registrar's records there plus NV. Now I do have one other who didn't bother with the divorce. Women were a lot more independent then than later in the depression years. Happy Easter, Jim -- James R.
