New Fire equipment ~ The 2 new, 25 gallon chemical engines recently purchased by the fire commissioners, have been equiped with handles and will be installed in Faggtown in the place of the large chemical units in use there. The large engine will be placed in the Fire House up town and 1 smaller ones will be installed in the regular Fire House of Faggtown. Every one in Faggtown should drop by and become familiar with how these operate, espically that the women may have to operate the machinery if a problem arisies during the day. 16, March, 1912. Toll Road Conversion~ The CAMDEN toll Road, will be a public hwy after 22, March, by order of the Board of Supervisiors of Shasta declared. T.W.H SHANAHAN, of the Chamber of Commerce, stated that the road should not be granted a futher extension of it franchise; also that toll roads are a thing of the past. 3] Reunion ~ The Wvvlle Fire Co.., will hold their annual reunion and banquet at the New York Hotel on 17, March, at 5:30 o'clock. The best the market can afford will grace the festal board, and about 50 brave fire ladies will also help dispose of these edibles. 23, March 1912. Saturday. 1] Chinese Native returns ~ AH CHUEY HAMILTON, a native born Chinese, returned to his old home Tuesday after an absence of 3 yrs, spent in Stockton and San Francisco. AH CHEY has gained in flesh as well as wisdom, and tips the scales at 204 lbs. 2]MOVED~ WARREN GILZEAN, lately of Junction City, has left last Friday for Montreal, Canage, where he will begin work as a hydrolic mine, under j. w. bergin, supertendent. 3] Winds of March ~ Kites are up and in the air, the wild March winds of the past wee, have older boys and several youngesters, daily sailing their air-ships. end~ ~hum.Linda~ Words are the window to the Heart.
