Money Lost ~ As Sheriff JONES and his underSheriff KELLOG were crossing Indian Crk, above Douglas City, a short distance above the mouth last Saturday morning, Mr. KELLOGG's mule, mired and fell backwards, throwing the bags containing from $1,000 to $1,100, into the Crk., mostly in coin, they were carried out of sight in the rapid rain and snow currents of waters and in all probability into the Trinity River. Mr. JONES, immediately offered reward of $250 for its recovery.
