If you don't know the street , try for a 1940 City Directory of your area. If the family was there it will list (Hopefully. It did mine) with a street and address. Enter that on the archives site . http://1940census.archives.gov/ State ,County, Town, Address, Street. Then if its a long street see where the #s start and work up from there. Cuts down on a lot of pages. Jumping into this -- I was able to save and print my copy, but the typewritten headings were way too small to read. That's why I wanted a blank copy of the census.
