    2. There is a J.A. Blakemore died 1942 in the Weaverville Cemetery, plot W-O-43-28. Could this be him? Nearby are Herbert Spencer Blakemore, Margaretta, Thomas J. Ursula and Winifred L. Blakemore. Betty Hi Gang, Need help in locating a possible death date, believed to have died in Napa CO, at The Napa State hospital . A man by the name of JOHN ARMSTRONG BLAKEMORE. Thought to have been born in Trinity CO.,CA circa 1884..On 06, January 1906, at age 22, he became derranged in Lewiston,Triniy County, Wearing boxing gloves, proceeded for 2 days to batter down doors and windows of the small community. Tried in Wvvlle and Committed. He held at that time athletic records for the University Of California. A giant in statue and strength, he won many distinctions in the athletics of 'Shot-put, and Pole Vaulting'..his mental breaking was his studies. He was instutionalized 1st, on 17, November 1905, after a short rehab, was released. But in January became ill again...took 2 sheriff's deputy's to restrain him, even after 'cuffing'. Transported to Napa Insane Asslym by train from Redding.     3. There was a James Armstrong Blakemore who shows up in the Great Register of Trinity County - 1888. He was living in Lewiston on 11 April 1884. His age was 64 and he was born in Virginia. He might have been John's father. I find nothing in Ancestry for a John Armstrong Blakemore. Also, I searched for him at UC Berkeley around the turn of the century to about 1920.... Again, nothing. The J. A. Blakemore who died in 1942 could be the James Armstrong.
