Here is what I know: Bertha Caroline LEMVIG, born Apr. 22, 1871 in Fillmore Co., MN, died May 26, 1953 in San Francisco, CA Bertha married 1st time about 1898 (date and place unknown) to: George William RENTSCHLER, born May of 1861 in Ohio to German parents, (had a brother William Clarence RENTSCHLER, born June of 1859 in Ohio) George was a book publisher and printer - resided San Francisco, CA from late 1880's - disappear about 1904 brother William lived in San Francisco, CA at least until 1925 Bertha married 2nd time about 1915 (date and place unknown) to: Frederick James MARTINDALE, born Apr. 24, 1873 at Galt, ON, died Aug. 29, 1925 in San Francisco, CA printing office contractor - resided San Francisco, CA Bertha and Fred are buried in the Mt. Olivet cemetery at Colma, CA And here are my questions: 1) Exact date and place of Bertha's 1st marriage to George Rentschler? 2) Exact date and place of Bertha's 2nd marriage to Fred Martindale? 3) Exact date and place of George Rentschler's birth? Strangely enough neither George nor his brother can be found in any early census records 4) What happened to George Rentschler about 1904?
