    3. Dear Listers, Well, I just made another attempt in the 1880 census, and this time I found the Rentschler brothers living at Greenville, Darke Co., OH: ~~~~~ RENTSCHLER, Mary 48 wid Ger Ger Ger keeping house RENTSCHLER, William 21 son OH Ger Ger clerk in store RENTSCHLER, George 19 son OH Ger Ger clerk in store RENTSCHLER, Frank 15 son OH Ger Ger clerk in store RENTSCHLER, Mary 11 dau OH Ger Ger ~~~~~ They are also there in 1870, then the name is spelt RENSLER. Mother Mary (44) (widow) was born in Baden, while William (12), George (9), Frank (6) and Mary (1) were all born in OH. And now I found them even in 1860 at Greenville, Dsrke Co., OH. Father George (23) is a blacksmith born in Wuertt. Mary (30) is born in Baden, while son William (1) is born in OH. Name spelling looks like Renchler. Thus, the origin of George's family has been found, only the exact dare of birth is missing! And of course the other questions... Very sincerely yours, Lars E.
