Hi, Does anyone know if Madera County allows death certificates to be read there in the office... not actually purchased? I have two people, husband and wife who died in 1942 and 1946. I would like to know where they were living at the time of their death... the street name/number in Madera that may be on the death cert... and where the wife is buried. Madera Cemetery District has no record of her burial in Madera County which is odd... her mother and husband were both buried at Calvary Cemetery so it's a mystery as to why this woman was not buried there too. The couple had no children and no other family. Thanks in advance for any help! Sheila
Hi Sheila, Madera's website doesn't actually say whether or not you can look at records in person, but maybe you could call them. The phone number is also here: http://www.madera-county.com/index.php/recorder/vitalrecordsmenu Do you have access to Ancestry? Did you check Find A Grave?
