I have been trying to find James Raymond Denman on the 1940 census. He was born June 25 1932. It appears he belonged to the Hoopa Tribe in Humboldt Co. Was there a separate census for the Indians? Betty
Do you have ancestry.com? There is a listing for Indians. It looks like he is living with his grandparents.
