Linda,   Here is what I've found so far. He states his occupation as "manager - radio". Dominic is about 27, born about 1903 in Italy. Elizabeth is about 25, born in about 1905 in Illinois. Living with them are the following people: Victor Diciolla, son, age 4, born about 1926. Victoria Diciolla, daughter. It looks like she is about 11 months old. Thresa M. Gravino, sister-in-law, age 20, born about 1910 in CA. Roxy Ann Gravino, age nine months, born in CA (probably the daughter of Thresa). Roseanna Pinta, mother-in-law, so Elizabeth's mother, age 62, born about 1868 in Italy. US Naturalization Records show a Petition for Naturalization in Los Angeles for Domenico Diciolla, born 27 Sep 1902 in Italy. His spouse is Elizabeth and lists one child, "Vito" (probably Victor). He says he is a "fruit dealer". He made his Declaration of Intention to become a US citizen in Chicago, IL. His wife is Elizabeth, born in Chicago, IL and he has a son, "Vito", born 23 Nov 1925 in Chicago. As for your friend's father, Victor: It looks like Dominic died and Elizabeth then married a man named Stanley Truifilt. I found them on the 1940 Census in San Antonio Judicial Township, Los Angeles. Victor and Victoria are living with them, as well as a third child named Donald Diciolla, age 8. Lastly, I found a Vic Diciolla on the Social Security Death Index, born 23 Nov 1925 and died 25 Apr 2009. His last residence was Humboldt. There doesn't seem to be much of anything else about these particular people -- lots of others with that same last name, but I wouldn't know how to tie them in.  I'll send all of these documents to you under separate cover.
