"He did a lot of research on numerous Dickinson lines and even had more recent lines in the book." My g-grandmother was named Elizabeth Dickinson Sterne. I believe she was given the middle name because a sister of her mother, Sarah Margaret Mallard Sterne, married a Dickinson. Elizabeth was born in Anderson Co TX. Sarah was born in Tuscaloosa AL. The Mallard line originated in NC & from there went to TN, then AL, then TX. Could you check your father's book & see if there is any reference to a Mallard/Dickinson marriage? Thanks, Judy
Hi Judy, sorry. There is no Mallard in the book.
