BTW, there was all kinds of paperwork including letters from people who knew my husband saying he was a good guy. Plus papers from my ex-husband giving up his rights as her biological father. Three of my cousins were adopted by their stepfather in the early sixties. They had two different birth fathers and in each case they were issued new birth certificates with their step dad's name. And these girls were all in their teens.
